Just a quick link

This is just an interesting link for everyone to look at concerning current legal discourses surrounding reproduction.

  1. The snatchel project uses the knit vagina to convey a very strong feminist sense. I think that everyone have their own right to express their thoughts and emotions. We should fairly treat everybody, no matter he or she.

    1. I thought that female and male have the equal rights. Women can do as much as men could. Feminism is not man-hater, they are the effort ti save both genders from the sexual stereotypes that have traditionally limited them.

  3. I think this is a very interesting way to get the government's attention. It's similar, yet a little more subtle than the methods used in the movie we are watching in class. The more it is brought up, the more likely something will be done!

  4. I agree with Jacob. I think the more we fight for an issue, even if it's not radically, someone is bound to recognize it. I think eventually it will catch someone's attention. Who will these equal rigths of women harm?

    1. I completely agree. However, some people believe that giving women equal rights will rob men of their roles as the natural leaders of society/ will harm male egos. I personally couldn't care less about men's egos and fail to see how women having equal rights could affect them.

  5. I like the imagery associated with sending men a vagina/ uterus of their own. Perhaps if women were to do so, men would try to regulate their own uterus/vagina rather than those of American women. I feel that this method, while time-consuming (especially if you are a horrible knitter like me) is a great way of getting attention without being overtly negative.

  6. Very interesting way of doing things. It seems to bring attention to the issue, making more and more people aware of it. Education and understanding of these issues is what needs to be done.
